Hypertext markups create a link from one page to another. Keep in mind that when information is in HTML it is “sandwiched” between two tags. For example, if you wanted to make the word “cat” bold, you would write:

The opening tag lets the program know “I want this to appear bold” and the closing tag will establish that you are done with bold.
